Bruce Andrew

Bruce Andrew (born 28 February 1908; died 6 June 1996) was an Australian rules football player in the Victorian Football League (VFL) before becoming an administrator and television commentator. His services to the VFL were honoured by the awarding of VFL Life Membership, and subsequently induction into the Australian Football Hall of Fame.
Andrew played with Collingwood Football Club in the VFL (later to be renamed as the Australian Football League) from 1928 to 1934 for a career total of 62 games. He was a member of the 1928 and 1930 Collingwood premiership teams.
His administrative career spanned 43 years and included:
- Collingwood vice-president 1933-40;
- Australian National Football Council (ANFC) field director 1949-76; and
- ANFC Secretary 1950-76;
He was also a Channel 7 World of Sport panellist 1960-80;
Andrew was inducted to the Australian Football Hall of Fame in 1996.
