Bruay-la-Buissière is a commune of the Pas-de-Calais département and the Nord-Pas de Calais région in northern France.

It belongs to the Communauté d'agglomération de l'Artois, which gathers 58 communes and has a total population of approximately 200,000. In the 1999 census, Bruay-la-Buissière had a population of 23,998, making it the second-largest member commune of the agglomeration, after Béthune.
