[edit] Aid needed from a Catalan Native (or Near-Native) Speaker
Please allow me to introduce myself, I am Thor, and I am the primary translator of the article Tabaluga on the English Wikipedia. I am trying, unsuccessfully right now, to translate this article for inclusing onto Viquipèdia in Català. I have only been able to machine translate it up to now, and I suspect it to be extremely inaccurate, since I have a relative zero understanding of Català. Could you please look at the english article, and see if you could prepare a basic translation into Català and post it onto Viquipèdia? Your help would be very warmly welcomed. Thank you. Thanks for getting back to me. Like I say, I did try to machine tranlate the article, but after reverse translating this, from Català to English, there are parts which make no sense at all. I appreciate you agreeing to assist me with it, and I look forward to seeing the article. Your help is greatly welcomed. Thanks, Thor Malmjursson 19:24, 21 January 2006 (UTC) Talk

[edit] Paul Martin
Paul Martin remains prime minister until a new government is sworn in, which should be within two weeks. His term will end on that day, not on election day. Regards, Ground Zero | t 22:08, 24 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Band of Gypsys
Hi Brownsc. Yes, I'm a big fan of them too. Can't understand why Billy Cox is'nt appreciated more as a bass player - just listen to some of his notes with the Gypsys (Burning Desire, Isabella, and especially Who Knows), not forgetting the songs he wrote with Jimi in the year leading up to his death (Dolly Dagger, Earth Blues, Freedom, Drifting ...). Gypsys's had a very different dynamic from the Experience, way more funky. I thought the "Live at the Fillmore" and "Baggy's Rehersal Sessions" were a great addition for this much under-appreciated, and immensely influential band. Looking forward to hearing more from ye. [edit] Wikimedia Canada
Hi there! I'd like to invite you to explore Wikimedia Canada, and create a list of people interested in forming a local chapter for our nation. A local chapter will help promote and improve the organization, within our great nation. We'd also like to encourage everyone to suggest projects for our national chapter to participate in. Hope to see you there!--DarkEvil 17:11, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging Image:Q-Mack.jpg
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Q-Mack.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rory096(block) 17:18, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hello
I've moved User:Brownsc/Symbol (Language) into your userspace as it really doesn't belong in the main article space. Cheers, Mackensen (talk) 22:30, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Serbian Alphabet.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Serbian Alphabet.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Hetar 23:38, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Article Real Batman
A tag has been placed on The Real Batman, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable (see the guidelines for notability here). If you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please write {{hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.
Please read the criteria for speedy deletion (specifically, articles #7) and our general biography criteria. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.
