I'm Ben Brockert. I live in Iowa, previously Kossuth, Iowa (near Mediapolis (north of Burlington)), now in Ames. I was a student of Computer Engineering at Iowa State University, currently I work full time for one of the industries in town. I am an urban explorer, a photographer, a hobbyist jet propulsion researcher, giant space geek, and I'm not good at any of it. I write a blog on urban exploration, the UE News.

I made my first logged-in edit on April 6, 2004, my 2000th edit on 20 November 2004, and my 4000th on 20 May 2005. I have 4608 as of 08:01, 3 February 2007 (UTC). My user page has been vandalized twice. I sometimes take wiki vacations for the sake of my sanity. If you ever start to feel that everything will fall apart if you leave, it's imperative that you leave immediately.

On December 15, 2004, the fine bureaucrat Cecropia promoted me to administrator (or custodian) per the will of 17 kind users, with no dissenting votes. I nominated myself as a birthday present to myself. If you see me misuse any of my powers, please call me on it.

Idea: Wikipedia:Speedy cleanup. In essense, "if this isn't fixed soon, I'm going to put it up on VFD." Occasionally an article could possibly be worthwhile, but malingers in a deletion-worthy state until someone puts it up for deletion.
