Talk:Broadleaf arrowhead
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] Name
Hello Circeus. Thank you for this very nice article. I have one comment. I believe that according to Wikipedia naming conventions, it was better off at the more common name Sagittaria latifolia (13,600 Google hits mostly in English, 835 in the presumably Anglophone "gov" domain), rather than Broadleaf arrowhead (728 Google hits).
Among the non-Latin names, duck potato and wapato both appear also to be more common, although these names are also used for other species in the genus, including at least S. cuneata, so they would probably not be appropriate for an article title.

[edit] Questions for eventual clarification in the article
- Are the colonies clonal colonies?
- It seems odd that roots should bear tubers. Are the roots in question actually rhizomes, or the tubers actually tuberous roots?
