Sometimes referred to as a witch (when female) and sometimes as a demon (when male), the Broxa is a nocturnal mystical entity of medieval times . Broxas supposedly could fly and change their shape at will, and also able to read the future. It was believed that they drank blood like vampires. In Jewish folklore it is also the name of a bird believed to suck the milk of goats during the night.
