Brookswood is a community (pop. approx. 13,336[1]) in Langley, British Columbia, Canada. It is largely a residential area with several commercial areas, a Civic Centre with a hockey area and curling rink. Next to the Civic Centre is a skate park and a BMX track. The Brookswood frisbee golf course at Langley Passive Park (affectionately known by the locals as "36 Pit") is another popular hang out for local teens.

  • Built at a cost of $1,750,000, the Langley Civic Centre was officially on November 8, 1973.
    • On May the Langley Civic Centre was renamed George Preston Recreation Centre in honour of the man who helped build it.
  • On July 8, 1981, Town Council approved the construction of a BMX race track beside the Langley Civic Centre, In 2001 the Brookswood skateboard park was officially opened almost right beside it.
