[edit] Synopsis
[edit] Cold open
Dr. Weird thinks that inflating himself with barbecue sauce will work in his latest plot...until Steve tells him that it will never work, which soon ushers his agreement.
[edit] Plot
Shake discovers an underground cavern where the Broodwich, a diabolically delicious (but cursed) sandwich, rests. Every bite sends him to a hellish place for a few seconds, and anyone who eats the whole thing is trapped there and killed by a short creature with an axe. Eventually, Shake removes the sun-dried tomatoes from the sandwich, nullifying the curse. The evil voice that inhabits the Broodwich somehow convinces Shake to get "free brain surgery" and removes his brain, then telekineticly feeds him the tomatoes. The episode ends with Shake in the other dimension and the short creature bringing back his axe aimed at Master Shake. The scene cuts out just before contact is made.
[edit] Ingredients
"It is the Broodwich. Forged in darkness from wheat harvested in hell's half acre, baked by Beelzebub, slathered with mayonnaise beaten from the evil eggs of dark chicken forces into sauce by the hands of a one-eyed mad man, cheese boiled from the rancid teat of a fanged cow, layered with 666 separate meats from an animal which has maggots for blood."
[edit] Cultural references
- The alternate dimension is a homage to the animated short Rejected and its animator Don Hertzfeldt, who was an early influence on the Aqua Teen writers.
[edit] Notes
- Carl does not appear in this episode.
