Broken Silence is the third album from American rapper Foxy Brown. The album's title was a message to its highly anticipated release and a chance to finally speak out against the rumors. The album also includes many diss tracks to Hip Hop female rival Lil' Kim. The album was a modest success, going Gold and selling just over 500,000 copies. However it is looked at as a flop compared to her last two albums, Ill Na Na and Chyna Doll, even though it wasn't expected to sell a large amount due to lack of support and promotion through Def Jam.
Despite the commecial disappointment, it was still a critical success, raising the bar for albums by female rappers.
