Brockton Fire Department

The Brockton Fire Department provides fire suppression, fire prevention, and rescue services for Brockton, Massachusetts, USA. It has a Class 2 rating from Insurance Services Office.[1] The Brockton FD does provide EMS, but ambulance coverage is handled by American Medical Response.[2]

The City has 7 Fire stations, 6 of which are currently operational. The City is home to Squad Co. A, which has been named by Firehouse magazine as the busiest and second busiest Rescue Company several times in the past 5 years. Also the City has been home to one of Massachusetts's most deadly fires in which 13 firefighters lost there lives in Strand Theatre Fire on March 10, 1941.
