BroadVision NASDAQ: BVSN is an international software vendor of self service web applications for electronic commerce. The company is headquartered in Redwood City, California, United States. It was founded in 1993 by Pehong Chen. The company's initial public offering was in 1996, and its stock trades on the NASDAQ, under the ticker symbol BVSN.
BroadVision was a pioneer in eCommerce in the 1990s. However, poor management and lack of strategic direction led to its downfall. It laid off about 80% of its workforce and is now a penny-stock company.
