[edit] Thanks

...for the heads up. There are a few less than mature posters who seem to be obsessing about my edits at present. If they actually paid attention they would realise that most of their technical edits have been accepted and with some much needed text improvement these articles are 150% on what they used to be - if they existed at all before I wrote them. The "ganging up" mentality is also disappointing and reflects badly on them. I'd be more receptive if some of them learned to think before reaching for the keyboard.

Dude, just wondering, why'd you change the Raven superherobox picture? The one I put it was much better; it showed the new costume, but in better context. Heck, it's even a metaphor (Raven running). TalonTheater

I'm confused; why did you suddenly up and suggest a review as to whether or not he deserved to be an admin? - A Link to the Past (talk) 06:21, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

Because if he can't take critisiscm and/or abuses his admin, maybe said one should be recalled. The more I read his talkpage the more I think he just doesn't need the admin anymore. I think he abuses it. Brian Boru is awesome 07:42, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

Well, I decided that instead of just going after him for what he's done, let him start with a "clean slate" - which, of course, entails that he agree to my conditions I left on his talk page. What do you think? - A Link to the Past (talk) 07:58, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

Fine wait and see. If that doesn't work. Let things fall where they may. Brian Boru is awesome 08:01, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Article namespace

The article namespace refers to the actual articles in the encyclopedia. Other things to do with the encyclopedia that are not articles are in other namespaces. For example your user page User:Brian Boru is awesome is in the user namespace, and my talk page User talk:Reyk is in the user talk namespace. The different namespaces help to organize the various different things connected with the encyclopedia that are not actually articles.

You can find more information about namespaces here.

Hope this helps, Reyk YO! 10:31, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] List of Eternals members

Great addition! It never occurred to me that such a necessary article hadn't existed before! (Needs some images, though. See List of S.H.I.E.L.D. members for ex.) Congrats on a nicely done page! --Tenebrae 01:42, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

Hmmm...don't know. I guess technically. So the table listing was in the existing Eternals article? Aw, what the hell, it's still good to get it out on its own! Needs to breathe and to romp with all the other articles! Keep up the good edits, BBiA! --Tenebrae 00:31, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] My RfA

My request for adminship has closed successfully (79/0/1), so it appears that I am now an administrator. Thanks very much for your vote of confidence. If there's anything I can ever do to help, please don't hesitate to let me know. IrishGuy talk 01:25, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Request for Comment

First, congrats on the adminship! I hadn't known you were applying. I don't know if the following, then, is still applicable — that is, whether admins can comment or if that's thought of as tilting the scales &mdash. I've placed a general notice for this on the ComicsProject noticeboard, and also notifying some of the CP regulars of a Request for Comment at Talk:John Buscema#Request for Comment: NPOV and images, concerning a dispute over alleged violations and which includes links to two versions of an article, for comparison.

You're a regular and diligent contributor to WikiProject Comics, so if admins are allowed to comment, you might be a knowledgeable and disinterested party who could add an informed opinion. Congrats again!--Tenebrae 18:00, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

Oops. Sorry I was confusing.
First, of course, I'm saying congratulations.
Then I'm saying I've put in a Request for Comment at the John Buscema article, and am asking some of the Comics Project regulars to see the dispute there and to give an opinion, if they have one.
And finally, I honestly don't know if admins can comment on disputes, or whether that's the next step in the process -- to notify an admin after the RfC has been up for several days and regular (non-admin) editors have weighed in.
Run-on sentences ... now there's my problem!
Thanks, and sorry again for any confusion. --Tenebrae 18:09, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

Yeah well i'm not an admin. Brian Boru is awesome 18:11, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

Oy. Reading too quickly ... another of my shortcomings. I saw the RfA thing just above, and thought it was a notice for yourself, not a thank-you from another editor. Just goes to show, though, that my first impression was, "Well, I can see him as an admin" and not "He's and admin??"!
My very best to you, and if you ever decide to apply.... --Tenebrae 18:17, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
