[edit] Questions on this Article

Firstly the article is of very limited use as it does not differentiate between the Destinations served by each franchisee - this would seem to be a minimum requirement.

Secondly it should at least indicate when the information is valid from and where it was derived from

I remain unconvinced that this article is even required - an alphabetical list of destinations served within each franchisee article would be better surely. Ardfern 3 July 2005 22:38 (UTC)

Again, my thoughts echo with what I said in the BA talk article. I think it emphasises the size and reach of BA beyond the company itself. Granted, this list is and can be dispersed into each of the franchisee articles, but what harm is it actually doing? I don't see it being confusing or contradictory, or even inaccurate. In my opinion it's also easier to maintain as one reference from the BA main article, but that's arguable I know. For the 2 minutes it took, I've added the franchises and the BA summer timetable dates for now.
I see Wikipedia as a chance to include as much information as possible while being easy to understand and a good, quick and easy reference point, which I think such separate articles provide. --Ayrshire--77 4 July 2005 07:52 (UTC)
I'd agree with Ayrshire that this is a useful article - better than having individual franchisee lists. Possibly not as good as it being integrated into the full list of BA destinations though (but keeping the notes of which franchisee operates). Any thoughts? Iancaddy 22:46, 29 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Loganair destinations

The list of Logonair destinations has numerous Scottish islands not listed here but operated in BA colours and with BA flightcodes. As you say this comes from the BA magazine does that mean they don't mention the, err, more minor destinations in there? Or have you cut them out? If so, just wondered why. Yes and no, to an extent. The smaller islands "missed" off this list are part of the Orkney and Shetland archipelagos. So to save on listing every single island served on here, Orkney and Sheltand were simply added as "singular" destinations. There's a note at the bottom of the page explaining that a list of specific Orkney and Shetland destinations can be found in the Loganair article. Hope this helps. --Ayrshire--77 16:50, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
