[edit] Naiming of the military planes

Is the Bristol Beaufort named after anyone in particular. eg Francis Beaufort, RN given the nautical connection? the Buckingham could be the Duke of B. as with the Blenheim , Beaufighter is presumably the "Beau" out of Beaufort + "fighter". GraemeLeggett 15:01, 28 April 2006 (UTC)

Yes, you have the right Beaufort there. And again, yes, Beaufighter is a portmanteau of Beaufort and Fighter. Emoscopes Talk 20:23, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Predecessor company

Surely the predecessor is Bristol and Colonial Aeroplane Company not British and Colonial?? DuncanHill 15:00, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

No, it certainly was the British and Colonial Aircraft Company. Emoscopes Talk 20:20, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] "This list is incomplete"

Really? I'm pretty sure I've got every Bristol aircraft that ever flew in there. KiwiBiggles 21:04, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

Sorry, I meant it as a header for the entire product line (not just aircraft), I'll move it somewhere more appropriate Emoscopes Talk 21:09, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
