[edit] Northern Ireland

Why is NI a sub category here? NI is not part of Britain, it is part of the UK. MrMarmite 10:13, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

See Britain: the second of the three uses given includes NI. See also the Guardian style guide, which says: "Britain is the official short form of United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Used as adjectives, therefore, British and UK mean the same." Loganberry (Talk) 20:21, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] "Racecar" - ugh

I know it's to keep things consistent with the parent category "Racecar drivers by nationality", and on that basis I suppose I reluctantly accept it, but the phrase "British racecar drivers" looks horrible. A quick Google test shows 666 hits for that phrase (mostly from Wikipedia or its mirrors) but no fewer than 37,100 hits for "British racing drivers". The difference is so wide that I think it needs to be remarked upon. Loganberry (Talk) 20:19, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
