British Thoracic Society

The British Thoracic Society (BTS) is a specialist medical society in the United Kingdom in the field of respiratory medicine.
The society was formed in 1982 by the amalgamation of the British Thoracic Association and the Thoracic Society. The BTS contributes to postgraduate training in respiratory medicine in the UK and has published evidence-based guidelines for nearly twenty years.
