British Gulf International Airlines is a cargo airline based in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates and operating from Sharjah and Dubai. Its main base is Sharjah International Airport, with a hub at Dubai International Airport[1].

The airline was established and started operations in July 1996. In 2002 the company's management redirected business activity to the Persian Gulf and Middle East area from African countries. In 2003 it gained DGCA's audit and was authorised to be based in the United Arab Emirates.
It was originally formed by Kyrgystani interests in São Tomé and is owned by Anna Moleva (51%) and Igor Bakhmutov (49%)[1].

- July 1996 - Founded as a private limited company in Sharjah International Airport Free Zone, UAE.
- July 1997 to July 2002 - Operated mainly in African countries such as São Tomé and Principe, Congo (Brazzaville), Angola, Sudan and participated in UN Humanitarian and Food Programs.
- November 1999 - Established and registered in the Democratic republic of Sao-Tome and Principe.
- August 2002 - Established and registered in Kyrgyz Republic.
- September 2002 - Commenced international services in the Persian Gulf region from Sharjah and Dubai.
- July 2003 - Authorized to be based in the UAE in accordance with the regulations of the DGCAA.
