'Brisbane Airport Corporation Pty Limited is an Australian company which operates Brisbane Airport.

Brisbane Airport Corporation Pty Limited is owned by the Brisbane City Council, the Port of Brisbane Corporation and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol

Brisbane Airport is operated and developed by Brisbane Airport Corporation Pty Ltd (BAC) under a long term lease from the Commonwealth of Australia. BAC is part of a holding company group corporate structure, the ultimate shareholders of which are major Australian and international organisations (including Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and the Port of Brisbane Corporation), Brisbane City, and significant institutional investors.

Their current goal is to turn Brisbane's city airport into an Airport City by bringing development closer to the airport.This has already been very successful with the opening of Brisbane Airport Corporation's Head Office along with DFO-Direct Factory Outlets which has just opened Stage 3.Varekai was also staged during performances between November and December of 2006.

Current projects involve enhancements to the airport and new undercover parking which will be completed in a couple of years.A new parallel runway also allows Brisbane Airport to open up to the new Airbus A380. New Parallel Runway

Brisbane Airport Corporation is only 80% Australian-owned, through the Commonwealth Bank,Australian financial institutions, the Port of Brisbane Corporation and Brisbane City Council. Another important stakeholder is Amsterdam Airport Schiphol who own 20% and is one of the world’s most modern and efficient airports.

In 2005, Brisbane Airport was named the world’s best privatised airport when they won the coveted International Air Transport Association “Golden Eagle” Award that recognises its efficiency of operation and service to the community.

Brisbane Airport was also named the Australian Airports Association “Major Airport of the Year”.
