Brinnington is a north-eastern suburb of Stockport, Greater Manchester. It is situated on a bluff above a bend in the Tame Valleyand is an area of vast regeneration, it consists mainly of council owned dwellings including high rise flats. To the west of Brinnington is an area known as Reddish Vale, a country park. Ten minutes walk away on a bend in the river, near the viaduct is the local beauty spot known as 'Pebble Beach'.
