Brigadier General Agnew

James Agnew was a British soldier, killed in the battle of Germantown, October 4, 1777 during the American Revolutionary War. He came to Boston in the latter part of 1775 , holding the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. He commanded a brigade in 1777, and was engaged at Battle of Long Island, in the Danbury expedition, and at the Battle of Brandywine , where he was wounded.
