Bridezilla are a teenage five-piece indie/folk band from Sydney, Australia.
The band formed in 2005, and is fronted by Holiday Carmen-Sparks, who also plays guitar on most tracks. Pia May is the band's guitarist, and Millie Hall plays both the Saxophone and the keyboard. Daisy Tulley is the violinist and the drummer is Josh Bush. As well as being the only male in the band, at 18, Josh is also the oldest of the quintet.
In 2006, their live shows gained them acclaim from the music press, especially after successful support slots for Mercy Arms, Midlake and Snowman towards the end of the year. Such was their growing reputation, that in December 2006 Drum Media included Bridezilla as one of the bands to look out for in 2007. In March 2007 the band played at the Playground Weekender music festival.
While the band have yet to release any recorded material, there are versions of popular live favourites Saint Francine and Mr Young on their myspace page
Other live favourites include Chainwork, Midnight Behind The Box, Narcissist and the instrumental set-opener Intro.
Further to their debut appearance at the Playground Weekender, the band were included on the bill for the The Great Escape music festival (http://www.thegreatescape.net.au/), and were also added as support for Youth Group's Sydney show in April.
