Brian Wilson is a politician in Northern Ireland who is the first Green Party member of the Northern Ireland Assembly.

A local councillor for the Alliance Party on North Down Borough Council from 1981 to 1997, Wilson then sat as an independent councillor and unsuccessfully contested North Down at the Northern Ireland Assembly election, 2003.

Brian Wilson joined the Green Party in March 2005. Topping the poll in the Bangor West ward in the May 2005 local elections, he became one of the first three Green Party candidates elected at local level in Northern Ireland.

Wilson became the first Green Party member of the Northern Ireland Assembly at the 2007 election, representing North Down.

Brian Wilson is a politics lecturer and a member of Greenpeace and Friends of the Earth. He is married to Anne Wilson, an Alliance Party councillor.
