Brian White (British politician)

Brian Arthur Robert White (born 5 May 1957) is a Labour politician in the United Kingdom, and was Member of Parliament for North East Milton Keynes between 1997 and 2005.
White had been Deputy Leader of Milton Keynes Council and the Secretary of the Local Government Association Labour Group. He was first elected to Parliament in the Labour landslide victory at the 1997 general election, when he overturned the 14,000-vote majority[1] of the sitting Conservative MP Peter Butler to win the seat by only 240 votes.[2]
He was returned at the 2001 election with a slightly increased majority of 1,829, but at the 2005 election he lost his seat to the Conservative candidate Mark Lancaster on a 3.6% swing.
