Brian Stein (born October 19, 1957) is a former English footballer. He is the older brother of former Luton Town, Chelsea and Stoke City striker Mark Stein.
Brian had two spells at Luton Town accumulating 427 appearances and 130 goals.
His only appearance for England was a 2-0 defeat against France in France on 24 Feb 1984, a game in which he partnered club mate Paul Walsh. He returned to Luton in 2000 to work as reserve-team coach. With Mick Harford leaving for Nottingham Forest in 2004, Brian was promoted to assistant manager by Mike Newell.
On March 15, 2007, after the sacking of Mike Newell, Stein was made caretaker manager of Luton Town.
