Brian Charles Rose (born June 4, 1950, Dartford, Kent) is a former English cricketer who played in 9 Tests and 2 ODIs from 1977 to 1981.
He trained as a teacher, before he led a successful county career with Somerset. He succeeded Brian Close as captain in 1978 and he led the county to a succession of cup successes. The team included several world-class cricketers including the game winning triumverant of Ian Botham, Viv Richards and Joel Garner, and became very popular.
A past Chairman of Cricket, he is currently the Director of Cricket at Taunton.
