Brian Moehler

Brian Moehler (b. December 31, 1971) is a starting pitcher who played in 2005 and 2006 with the Florida Marlins. He broke into the Major Leagues in 1996 with the Detroit Tigers. He also played for the Cincinnati Reds in 2002 and the Houston Astros in 2003. He was infamous for scuffing the baseball with a piece of sandpaper while on the mound.

Only one season as a starter has Moehler been able to keep his ERA below 4.00. On Jan. 19th, 2007 Moehler signed a minor league contract with Astros
