Brian Mitchell (born on August 30, 1961 in Johannesburg, South Africa) was a professional boxer.

Mitchell turned pro in 1981 and captured the WBA Super Featherweight Title in 1986 with a TKO over Alfredo Layne. He defended the title 11 times, and never lost a title fight. In 1991 he also captured the IBF Super Featherweight Title with a decision win over Tony Lopez. He retired after the fight, and came back briefly in 1994 for two local bouts, retiring completely in 1995 with an outstanding pro record of 45-1-3.
