Brian Hancock

Brian Hancock (b.1950) is a Welsh politician and member of Plaid Cymru. Brian Hancock is standing for the Newport West constituency in the National Assembly for Wales election, 2007.

Born in Cardiff, Brian Hancock now lives in Newport. Brian Hancock was Assembly Member for the Islwyn constituency between 1999 and 2003. He has held several posts within the party at local level.

Educated at Lady Mary's High School, Cardiff and Llandaf Technical College, Brian gained a BSc in Chemical Engineering at the Polytechnic of Wales, Pontypridd.

His occupations have included being a Health, Safety and Environmental Consultant and a Chemical Engineer. He is married with two children. Brian's political interests are the environment, economic development and equal opportunities.

Non-political interests include being a longdistance runner.
