Brian Black (journalist)

Brian Black is a Northern Irish television presenter, producer and journalist. He is currently Environment Correspondent for UTV Live.
During the 1980s, Brian was the presenter and producer of Ulster Television's weekly current affairs series Counterpoint. In 1993, with the launch of UTV Live, he became the programme's Environment Correspondent, and he continues to file reports for UTV Live from around Northern Ireland, and on occasions around the world, on ecological and environmental issues.
Brian Black narrated a natural history series, Natural Selection, in 1993, presented an environmental debate series E2K in co-operation with the University of Ulster in 2000, and hosted and produced the Endangered documentary series in 2003. In January 2007, Brian returned to his presenting duties with a new UTV programme entitled Hidden Heritage in which he embarked on a quest through Ireland to seek out its lesser known historical delights.
