[edit] License tagging for Image:VERA'S PHOTOS 009.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:VERA'S PHOTOS 009.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 05:05, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fake dates

Please stop inserting fake future dates and episode counts into articles. This can be considered vandalsim and if you keep doing it, it may be grounds to block you from editing. Thanks. --Milo H Minderbinder 14:24, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Notability of Paul Sourlos

A tag has been placed on Paul Sourlos, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Iorek85 10:51, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] March 2007

Please stop. If you continue to delete or blank page contents or templates from Wikipedia, as you did to Marina Hinves, you will be blocked. Real96 04:41, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

This is your last warning. If you continue to make personal attacks on other people as you did at User talk:Real96, you will be blocked for disruption. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. Real96 04:50, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Dr. Leonie Wasson

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Dr. Leonie Wasson, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit] AfD nomination of Dr. Leonie Wasson

I've nominated Dr. Leonie Wasson, an article you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Dr. Leonie Wasson satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion; I have explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dr. Leonie Wasson and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Dr. Leonie Wasson during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. -- ArglebargleIV 04:34, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

Please discuss your image change on the talk page, thanks. Matthew 11:12, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image tagging for Image:Mischa-barton.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Mischa-barton.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] AfD nomination of Newington College Show

I've nominated Newington College Show, an article you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Newington College Show satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion; I have explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Newington College Show and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Newington College Show during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you.

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Animation1-5.gif

Thanks for uploading Image:Animation1-5.gif. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 05:43, 17 March 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ArglebargleIV 05:43, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] 17 March 2007

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with Newington College Show. The notices and comments are needed to establish community consensus about the status of an article, and removing them is considered vandalism. If you oppose the deletion of an article, you may comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. -- ArglebargleIV 12:40, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Mischahotness.jpg

Thank you for uploading Image:Mischahotness.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Yamla 15:30, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Blocked

You have been blocked for your apparently deliberate violation of WP:FU on Mischa Barton and other articles. You are reminded once again that fair-use and promotional images may not be used to depict living people and that you are to provide source and license (and, for fair-use images, a detailed fair-use rationale for each use on the Wikipedia) for every image you upload or use. You are welcome to resume editing once this block expires but please do not place Wikipedia in legal jeopardy any more. --Yamla 15:30, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

As your deliberate violations of WP:FU have continued and you continue to place Wikipedia in legal jeopardy, you have been blocked for 52 hours. If you continue these actions, you may be blocked indefinitely. --Yamla 14:17, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Char_clp_p2.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Char_clp_p2.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. cohesion 20:21, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
