I think Shanny's participation in movies is something worth mentioning. Also, he is known for inventing some rather tall tales for his team's media guide profile. In the past, he has claimed to have been a stand in for Dino for the Flintstones film, backup goalkeeper for Ireland at the World Cup, a football extra in the movie Forrest Gump, amongst other strange tales.
