Brewster-Douglas

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Brewster-Douglas Projects is a public housing project located in Detroit, Michigan.

Consisting of six 15-story towers, the complex was home for actress Lily Tomlin when she grew up, and for the members of The Supremes (Diana Ross, Mary Wilson, and Florence Ballard) during their early years. Drag Queen and recording artist RuPaul mentions the Brewster Projects in the intro of her biggest hit, the 1992 "Supermodel" (You Better Work).
