Brett McLean

Brett McLean (born August 14, 1978 in Comox, British Columbia) is a Canadian Professional ice hockey player. He plays Center for the Colorado Avalanche.

Brett McLean was selected 242nd overall in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft by the Dallas Stars. After being signed as a free agent three times (Calgary Flames in 1999, Minnesota Wild in 2000 and Chicago Blackhawks in 2002) he came to his current location with the Colorado Avalanche on July 21, 2004. In 2004-05, he joined the Malmö Redhawks of the Swedish Elitserien during the NHL lockout. Across his NHL career he has scored 16 goals and 45 points in 130 games played (as of January 31, 2006).
