Brett Finch (born August 20, 1981 in Maitland, New South Wales, Australia) is an Australian Rugby League player for the Parramatta Eels in the National Rugby League competition. He previously played for the Canberra Raiders from 1999 to 2002, and then for the Sydney Roosters until the end of the 2006 NRL season. Brett Finch has played three State of Origin games for New South Wales since crossing from the Canberra Raiders. His most famous moment was when he was called into the New South Wales squad on the eve of Game 1 of the 2006 series. He then turned out to be a hero by scoring a try, setting up two and by kicking the winning field goal to push New South Wales to a famous 17-16 victory at Telstra Stadium. However, he played poorly in the return match, in which New South Wales were beaten 30-6, with Brett's performance being described as the poorest in Origin history[citation needed]. Brett Finch and bf Tim Smith are a devastating combination for Paramatta, setting up many wins for the opposition. Brett Finch renewed his contract in February of 2007.

The Parramatta Eels announced on 21/07/06 that they had signed Brett Finch on a 2 year deal from the Roosters, comencing from the 2007 season.

Several Roosters supporters credit themselves for the removal of Finch from their team, as part of the "FOFF"
