Brent Sherwin is an Australian Rugby League player, the half-back for the Canterbury Bulldogs. He was born on the 20th of March 1978 in Greenacre NSW. He has played for City origin.
He has been playing for the Bulldogs since 1999 and is off contract in 2008.He has not been considered for higher honours due to the extreme quality of other halfbacks in front of him such as Andrew Johns. He was almost successful in obtaining the Dally M award in 2002 but was narrowly beaten by Andrew Johns, despite Johns gaining points for a game in which he was sent off. He still rates as one of the better halfbacks in the National Rugby League with a short kicking game second to none. While he has occasionally been dropped for poor form, 'Shifty' played a vital role in the 2002 17 game winning streak and the 2004 premiership win. A handy goalkicker, Sherwin has been the top grade half since 2002.
