"Breed" is a song by American grunge band Nirvana, and the fourth track from the band's 1991 breakthrough album Nevermind.

The lyrics were written by Kurt Cobain, and the music by Cobain, Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl. The song was written about Kurt Cobain and Tad Doyle, friend and lead vocalist and guitarist of the band Tad. Imodium was the song's original title, reflecting Kurt's frustation involing Tad's frequent diarrhea.

American metal band Dog Fashion Disco covered the song and released it on The City Is Alive Tonight...Live in Baltimore

Recently the UK rock band Feeder, have been covering the song to close their live sets but have not released any recording of it.[1]
