Bredagh GAC are a successful Down GAA club. They field teams at all levels from U8 to Senior in Mens and Ladies Gaelic football, Hurling and Camogie. They had their previous pitch, Bredagh Park, taken off them in December 1998 but moved next door to Cherryvale Playing Fields, owned by Belfast City Council. They are one of the few clubs in Down without a pitch to call their own but they are doing very well, especially at underage levels. In 2006, the senior footballers won the Down JFC and the Hurlers won their division of the Ulster league.
