Breast prostheses
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
breast prostheses are breast forms intended to simulate breasts. There are a number of materials and designs. The most common construction is silicone gel in a plastic skin.
Their primary use is as an alternative to, or a stopgap measure until, plastic surgery to reconstruct a breast after mastectomy - usually a consequence of cancer.[1],[2]
Many male to female cross-dressers use breast prostheses in order to create the illusion of female breasts.
