Breakdown is a member of a Transformers subgroup called the Stunticons.

Breakdown was one of the Stunticons in Transformers G1 and formed one of the limbs, he was a high speed performance car

Prototypes of redecos of all the Stunticons were released for the Transformers: Generation 2 toy line, but they never made it to general release. The few that were produced are considered highly collectable.

A resident of the Speed Planet. He serves as a mentor to the young Velocitronion transformer Clocker. He has extensive knowledge of the great races that he has passed along to Clocker and will come in handy when it comes time for Hot Shot to race with Velocitron's leader Override.
