Edward Hunter was a CIA operative that introduced the theories of "brain-washing".
The back cover of the book, portrays Edward Hunter as a career Foreign correspondent; working for Tokyo ADVERTISER in 1927, and later the Hankow HERALD and Peking LEADER. Moving to Europe he covered the Spanish Civil War. As an Asia specialist he served in the CHINA-BURMA-INDIA theatre in WW2. Postwar he reported from the major Asian capitals, while based in Hong Kong.
