Bratz (also known as Bratz: The Movie, or Bratz: The Motion Picture) is an upcoming live-action feature film based on the wildly popular fashion doll line with the same name by MGA Entertainment. The movie is announced to be released on August 10, 2007.

Four high school girls, Yasmin, Cloe, Sasha and Jade are from socially and economically diverse backgrounds. What they have in common is their wish to be theirselves and realize their dreams and aspirations. They start their journey separated by high school cliques, only to realize that their lives will be more fulfilling. A story of empowerment and wish fulfillment, told through the unique mix of song, dance and fashion.

The movie was announced on May 15, 2006, when MGA Entertainment, Avi Arad Productions and Crystal Sky Pictures teamed up to bring the Bratz dolls to the big screen. Under the deal, Crystal Sky Pictures will finance the film, Avi Arad and MGA will executive produce. John Doolittle and Susie Singer Carter penned the screenplay. [1] [2]

On October 17, 2006, announced that Sean McNamara will direct the movie. The casting is in production and the movie will start to shoot on early February 2007 in Los Angeles. [3]

On January 11, 2007, it was announced that Paula Abdul would be acting and serving as executive producer on the film. She has also stated in an interview that she will be doing choreography, suggesting that the movie will have musical elements in it.[4]

It is rumored that the Bratz character Meygan will be also featured in the Bratz Movie.
