Bratpack (comics)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bratpack is the title of a limited series of comic books by Rick Veitch. It was a very dark satire on superhero sidekicks, influenced partly by the fans' decision to kill off Batman's sidekick Jason Todd, but also built on other long-standing rumors and undercurrents in the history of the superhero genre, prominently commercialism, homosexuality (and pedophilia), violence, and the fascist tendencies inherent in superheroes. The limited series and graphic novel versions featured notable differences, the most prominently in the ending.
