Brandywine School

The Brandywine School was a style of illustration and an artists colony in Chadd's Ford, Pennsylvania, founded by artist Howard Pyle. The works produced there were widely published in adventure novels, magazines and romances in the early 20th Century.

Pyle was mentor to other successful artists like N. C. Wyeth, Frank Schoonover and Thornton Oakley.
