Brandval

Brandval and Vinger were Norwegian municipalities which were united into the present Kongsvinger municipality in 1964. At the time of the merger Brandval had a population of 4,384.
Finnskogen or the Finn's forest is a belt about 32 km (20 miles) wide and running continuously along the frontier in the districts of Brandval, Grue, Hof, Åsnes, and Våler.
