The District of Braga (pron. IPA: ['bɾagɐ]) is located in the Northwest of Portugal, the District Capital is the city of Braga. It is bordered by Viana do Castelo district in the north, Vila Real district in the east and Porto district in the south. Its area is 2673 km² and it has a population of 831,368.
The district is comprised of 14 municipalities:
