The village is served by very good schools, Bunny School and Nursery is a small school of around 80 children from Bunny and Bradmore and has a lovely family feel to it. Secondary school children go to South Wolds School in nearby Keyworth. Many young people do attend independent schools with Nottingham High, Hollygirt and Loughbrough Endowed Schools being popular with Bradmore residents.

The most notable historical event in Bradmore was the great fire of Bradmore which happened on 2 July 1705 when much of the old village cottages along Far Street and Main Street were destroyed. The 300th anniversary of the great fire was celebrated on Saturday 2 July 2005.

There are 2 churches in the village, the tiny CofE church with an impressive spire tucked away in between Main St and Far St, which was destroyed except for the spire in the fire of 1705 and never fully rebuilt. Services are held there once a month. And Bradmore Methodist Church and Community Hall which was extensively modernised in 2003 and is a popular centre for village activities, being also available for private functions. The Methodist Church has services every Sunday at 10:15 as well as a Sunday School (for 5-11s) and Sunday morning youth group (for 11+).
