Silver Buffalo Award

Bradley E. Haddock (1955-) is a corporate lawyer from Wichita, Kansas and serves as the vice president, general counsel, and secretary of Koch Chemical Technology Group, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Koch Industries, Inc. Koch is the largest privately held company in the United States.^[1] He has a received an AV peer rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating for legal ability and ethics. Mr. Haddock is a distinguished alumnus of Phillips University^[2], class of 1977, and graduated from law school cum laude in 1980 at Washburn University where he served as the Executive Editor of the Washburn Law Journal.^[3] Haddock's legal work is primarily in the areas of corporate law, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, litigation, and arbitration. He has served on the board of directors of the American Arbitration Association since 2005.^[4] He and his wife, Terri, have a son and daughter. Haddock and his wife met at the national council meetings of the Boy Scouts of America where they both received Young American Awards in 1976.

Mr. Haddock has been heavily involved with the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) during his life and is currenty Chairman of the National Order of the Arrow Committee, a member of the Boy Scout committee, and the national Advisory Board. He is an Eagle Scout, recipient of the Distinguished Eagle Scout Award and a 2006 recipient of the Silver Buffalo Award.^[5] As a youth, Brad was both the national chief of the Order of the Arrow (OA), Souting's national honor society, and a member of the National Executive Board of the BSA. He has also been honored with the Founder's, Silver Beaver, Silver Antelope, and OA National Distinguished Service Awards. He has served as a district chairman, council commissioner, and president of Quivira Council. He has also served as a lodge adviser, chairman of the National Report to the Nation program, North Central Region OA chairman, and as a vice chairman of the national OA Committee. Brad is the only person in the history of the OA and Scouting to be elected as National Chief by his peers and to later become the volunteer chairman of the national OA committee. He is only the sixth scouter from Kansas to receive the prestigious Silver Buffalo Award from the national council of the BSA since the award was introduced in 1926. Other distinguished Kansas recipients include William C. Menninger, W. Walter Menninger, Terrence P. Dunn, Arthur H. Cromb, and Anderson W. Chandler. ^[6][7][8]
