Bradespar

Bradespar S.A. is a Brazilian investment company headquartered in São Paulo. The company was formed in 2000 by Banco Bradesco in order to allow the bank to spin out some of its industrial investments. As at May 2005 the company owned major stakes in the iron ore miner Companhia Vale do Rio Doce, as well as in CPFL Energia, which is the largest private company of the Brazilian electricity sector. Bradespar's stock is traded on Bovespa, where it is part of the Ibovespa index.
