Braden was the oldest Lavery sibling, and slunk into town in 1998. Before that he growing up at the hands of their abusive father, Patrick, Braden would often take beatings for Ryan. It was many months before it was revealed that he and Ryan were brothers, which is what led the citizens of Pine Valley to realize that he, and not Ryan, had raped Christine 'Kit' Montgomery Fisher. Braden fled town after realizing what he did, and wasn't heard from again -- until his dead body showed up, courtesy of his younger brother Jonathan.
