Brad Ewing (born September 7, 1983) is a United States ecologist, economist and blogger who in recent years has become a popular figure in the Blogosphere since launching his blog Environmental Economics & Sustainable Development[1]. As a trained evolutionary biologist, the relationship between ecological disaster and economic growth has become a staple of his writings. Ewing has gained popularity as a blogger through Harvard economist Greg Mankiw's blog, Economist's View, IfEnergy, and is considered a "major business or economics" blogger on Gongol[2].
On the subject of biofuels, Brad Ewing has said:
Biofuels will do little to curb energy demand and they have a very likely possibility of disrupting food and water markets. Politicians throughout the world have got this one wrong. ADM is no better than Exxon. Government resources would be better spent on reducing demand through conservation policies and R & D with renewable energies such as wind and solar.[3]
